CUCM Phone Configuration: DHCP and DNS Services

1. Configuring CUCM DHCP Services

2. Configuring DHCP on Cisco ASA

3. Enabling/Disabling DNS on CUCM

One CUCM in cluster to act as a DHCP server

  • System > DHCP > Add Server (Supports multiple subnets)
  • System > DHCP > Add Subnets

Do you want to use DNS for the IP Phone communication? Jeremy recommends NO, but debatable. (Option 66 for DNS instead of Option 150)

You need a DNS server than can resolve the hostname of your CUCM nodes.
