10.8 Cisco Unified Mobility Configuration

This topic lists the steps that are required to configure Cisco Unified Mobility.

Configure Mobile Connect:

  1. Add mobility softkey to IP phone softkey templates.
  2. Configure end user.
  3. Configure IP phone.
  4. Configure remote destination profile with shared line.
  5. Add remote destination or destinations to remote destination profile.
  6. Configure service parameters.
  7. Optional: Implement access lists to specify which caller ID is allowed to ring a remote destination when a call to the office phone is received.
    1. Configure access lists.
    2. Apply access lists to remote destination.

In addition, the appropriate partitions and CSSs must be configured and applied. The shared-line directory number can be assigned with a partition, and standard CSSs can be configured at the shared directory number (the line CSS) and at the device level (the IP phone and remote destination profile). In addition, for Mobile Connect calls (that is, calls to a remote destination), a rerouting CSS can be configured in the remote destination profile.

Cisco Unified Mobility: Mobile Voice Access Configuration Procedure

This section lists the steps that are required to configure Mobile Voice Access.

Configure Mobile Voice Access:

  1. Activate Cisco Unified Mobile Voice Access service.
  2. Configure service parameters:
    1. Enable Mobile Voice Access globally.
    2. Enable and configure enterprise feature access.
  3. Enable Mobile Voice Access per end user.
  4. Configure Mobile Voice Access media resource.
  5. Configure Mobile Voice Access VoiceXML application at Cisco IOS gateway.

  2. Configure the service parameters.
    1. Enable globally.
    2. Enable and configure enterprise feature access.
  3. Enable Mobile Voice Access per end user.
  4. Configure the Mobile Voice Access media resource.

Note

The shown configuration procedure assumes that Mobile Connect is already configured. If you want to implement Mobile Voice Access only, you have to follow the Mobile Connect configuration procedure and the Mobile Voice Access configuration procedure. At each remote destination, you would then uncheck the Enable Single Number Reach and the Enable Move to Mobile check boxes.
