TVOICE – Multisite Connections- Implementing SIP and Intercluster Trunk Connections

Intro… While H.323 and MGCP are primarily used for Cisco Voice Gateway connections, SIP trunking is used for just about everything else. In this Nugget, Jeremy walks through the configuration of SIP Trunks (and discusses connections to ITSPs for lab environments) and Intercluster trunks (which connect multiple CUCM clusters).

Device->Trunk
Add new -> ICT Non Gatekeeper Controlled
*ICT Protocol = Cisco proprietary
Device Name
Device Pool
All the way down to the bottom…. Remote CUCM Information = IP address (Multiple Subs)

ICT becomes a gateway and can be used in a Route Pattern to send digits to.

SIP Trunk to ITSP

Same as ICT but with SIP
